Baptist Jacksonville Entry/Wolfson Children’s Critical Care Tower Topping Out
In early 2022, Wolfson Children’s will open a new Critical Care Tower, ensuring our most vulnerable patients receive the highest level of neonatal and pediatric intensive care in a state-of-the-art, family-centered environment. Hope starts at Wolfson Children’s, but we can’t do it alone. As a not-for profit hospital, we rely on philanthropic support to serve all children, regardless of ability to pay.

The new Children’s Critical Care Tower will be home to updated NICU and PICU facilities, providing additional space and the latest technology available. The impact of the new tower will be felt throughout the Wolfson Children’s family for decades.
Why a new Critical Care Tower? The number of medically fragile infants and critically ill and injured children is growing, so we must expand to meet the growing needs of our region. Our new, five-story Wolfson Children’s Critical Care Tower will feature a 75-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Center and a 26-bed Pediatric ICU to significantly expand our capacity to provide the highest level of care to newborns and children with complex medical needs.
Hope Starts HereNo parent wants their infant or child to require hospitalization. That’s why we have designed our Children’s Critical Care Tower to be state-of-the-art in every way. The most advanced technologies will help our expert clinical teams provide innovative treatments. Each child will have a spacious patient room that ensures privacy for family bonding, and comfortably accommodates both parents for overnight stays. With your help, we can provide these resources and more, to ensure every child and family is surrounded with everything they need to thrive.
“From the moment our newborn daughter was transported to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Wolfson Children’s, we knew we were in the very best hands. After a life-threatening diagnosis, in only a few short weeks, she was reunited with her twin brother and is thriving today…thanks to the wonderful care she received.” The Lasher Family
